The Alcazar takes the proven Creta formula and stretches it to accommodate a third row, adding a distinct layer of maturity. It isn't a hardcore 7-seater people mover, but rather a luxurious 4+2 seater for urban families. If you want Creta-like refinement with the flexibility of extra seats for children or occasional guests, it delivers beautifully.

Skip the base 7-seater unless you desperately need maximum passenger capacity for daily school runs or fleet use. The base trims strip away the premium cabin feel that justifies the Alcazar's price over the Creta. The 6-seater mid-spec with captain seats is the smartest buy, offering a genuine luxury feel, essential connectivity, and excellent rear-seat comfort for long highway journeys. Stretch to the Signature trims only if you want the full suite of tech including the 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats, which are fantastic for Indian summers.

Families love the premium feel of the cabin, especially the convenience of the rear-seat tray tables and window shades. The ease of driving it in city traffic is a massive plus. However, once the initial honeymoon phase ends, the most common complaint is the uselessness of the third row for adults and the struggle to fit luggage during family vacations.
Routine maintenance is fairly standard for the segment, ranging from standard rates annually.
The turbo petrol returns around 9-11 kmpl in the city, while the diesel is much more frugal at 14-16 kmpl.
Strictly for short intra-city trips; anything longer than an hour will be highly uncomfortable due to low seating and minimal legroom.
It feels stable and comes with 6 airbags, though it has not been tested to the rigorous 5-star standards of its Tata/Mahindra rivals.
You will miss the sheer engine power and road presence of the XUV700, but you will be relieved by the Alcazar's easier city parking and glitch-free electronics.
A comprehensive first-year policy generally costs at highly competitive rates.
The 6-seater with captain seats offers a vastly superior, luxurious experience and is highly recommended if you don't absolutely need the 7th seat.
It holds its value reasonably well, expect around 55-60% retention, though not quite as strong as the standard Creta.
Typically around 4 to 8 weeks depending on the variant.
