Our View
Hyundai Tucson is a very special case of the car that might still work even after the brand moves on. It has not been the most popular model in Hyundai’s lineup, so a well-maintained used one could bring something that a widely available Creta cannot.
As long as there is a well-preserved Tucson with a good maintenance history and low number of previous owners, then it’s worth considering. Diesel-automatic is the better choice if you need a frequent drive on highways; petrol one is the better choice if it’s occasional drive.
One thing that needs to be noted about this car is that you shouldn’t purchase one with the expectation of the next generation Tucson coming soon. There have been no official announcements that the next generation model would be launched in India in 2026.
