Discover The Versatile Kia Pv7: A Game Changer In Mobility

The PV7 is another vehicle that has been added to Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicles range, coming right after the PV5 which had already been released before. This electric van will be available in Passenger and Cargo variants, seating up to nine people and offering cargo space up to 1,200kg.

Kia PV7 Is Larger and Multi-purpose

The PV7 from Kia has a length of 5,350mm, a width of 1,995mm and a height of 1,990mm, and its wheelbase is 3,500mm. The vehicle is much larger compared to the PV5, which is multi-purpose and will be used for purposes such as carrying passengers, shuttling at airports and even logistics.

The Passenger variant will come with flexible seating options, while the Cargo will be concerned with its cargo-carrying abilities. In South Korea, the Passenger variant can carry up to 11 passengers, while others will have up to nine.

Two Battery Variants And 460km Range

PV7 features length of 5,350 mm, width of 1,995 mm, and height of 1,990 mm; its wheelbase length measures 3,500 mm. PV7 proves relatively larger than PV5, which is multi-purpose and will serve both passenger transportation and logistics and other various purposes.

The car uses Kia’s proprietary 800V E-GMP.S platform. With the help of 350 kW DC fast charging technology, according to Kia, battery charges up from 10 to 80 percent within about 20 minutes.

A Realistic Cabin With State-of-the-art Features

For starters, the PV7 has a 14.6-inch infotainment screen with Kia’s Pleos Connect software installed in addition to a digital instrument cluster display. The passenger models will also have ambient lights, roof-mounted air-conditioning vents, and 100W USB-C charging ports for rear passengers.

Also, the PV7 has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability which means that the battery will be capable of powering other electrical items. This would be extremely helpful for commercial customers who work at places where there is no source of power.

When Will The Kia PV7 Be Available?

The PV7 will be available in South Korea and Europe in the latter half of 2027. The price has not been announced by Kia as of yet, but other models and regions will follow.

Our Verdict

PV7 represents the way Kia is venturing into the world of electric vehicles that are not only for passengers but serve a specific purpose when it comes to their use. Flexible seats, high cargo carrying space, 800V charging and a range of up to 460km make the vehicle very much more than an extended version of PV5.

At this point of time, the key issue is whether Kia would ever launch the PV7 in India. So far, no official word from Kia regarding India.
