Toyota is planning facelifts for two of its popular vehicles in India. While the facelifted Glanza is anticipated to be introduced in October 2026, the Innova Hycross facelift is projected to launch sometime during early 2027. There are no plans for any significant mechanical revisions and the cars will undergo cosmetic and equipment enhancements only.
Newer Toyota Glanza: More Than A Facelift

The updated Glanza from Toyota is expected to come into view on October 14, which will see the luxury hatch get a refreshed front grille and more features. As the Glanza uses the same platform as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, it only makes sense that much of the upgraded features from the Baleno will be incorporated in the Glanza.
Perhaps one of the most drastic changes will be seen under the hood. The new variant of the vehicle is set to sport a new 1.2L 3 cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine, replacing the old 4 cylinder setup. Other additions could include ADAS, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger and some exterior changes to the grille and bumper.
Upcoming Innova Hycross Facelift Will Feature More Upgrades

The upcoming Innova Hycross facelift is set to hit showrooms sometime in early 2027 and test mules have already been seen driving around India’s roads. One of the major changes is set to be at the front end where there could be a more upright grill design and slimmer headlamps among other revisions.
The interior of the car may also undergo some upgrades as it has been suggested that there may be a new dashboard design along with better upholstery and a bigger infotainment system.
Current Engine Options to Stay
The refresh is unlikely to see any fundamental changes to the mechanicals of the Hycross. The current engine options, which include a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a strong-hybrid powertrain, will probably remain unchanged. Their output figures stand at approximately 170bhp/204Nm for the gasoline engine and 186bhp/191Nm for the hybrid.
Our Verdict
The updates to come from Toyota address very different segments of the market. The update to the Glanza will help the manufacturer strengthen its premium hatchback range through updated technology and engine, while the Hycross update seems aimed at updating the looks of an already existing family MPV.
Considering the Glanza will come out first, followed by the Hycross in a couple of months, both vehicles will receive a major update in their segment without altering the existing formula too much.
